Ibn al-Qayyim - rahimahullah - said: "Theres are six stages to knowledge:-
Firstly: Asking questions in a good manner.
Secondly: Remaining quite and listening attentively.
Thirdly: Understanding well.
Fourthly: Memorising.
Fifthly: Teaching.
Sixthly: Acting upon the knowledge and keeping to its limits.
